Current and past issues of the Union Messenger issues can be accessed online. Avantages of online access include color photos and graphics, and links to additional information. Printing individual pages of interest, or entire issues, can be done.
Adobe Reader, a free software program from Adobe.com, is necessary to open Union Messenger PDF files. If Adobe Reader is not already installed on your computer, the current version of Reader is can be downloaded from Adobe at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
Electronic posting of new issues coincides with the Union Messenger's distribution at the regular monthly meeting of the Local 571 House of Representatives. The Communications Committee will discuss the merits of posting a week earlier, on the day the newsletter is sent to the printer. Retirees receiving the newsletter by USPS mail will have timely access to new issues and the PDF image can be expanded to facilitate easier reading. A printed edition will continue to be mailed to each Retirees Council member.
