North Suburban Teachers Union, Local 1274

Lincolnwood District #74

The Lincolnwood Teachers Association serves as the union entity for Lincolnwood District 74 Teachers. We currently have 94 members. The Lincolnwood campus is comprised of three school buildings. Todd Hall services a prekindergarten through second grade programs. Rutledge Hall provides services for grades three through five. Lincoln Hall is a middle school servicing students in grades sixth through eight.

The LTA has a written constitution that guides the actions taken by the executive board. The board consists of a president or co-presidents, a vice-president/secretary, welfare chair, treasurer, and a representative from each building. This board meets monthly and meetings are open to all members.

The LTA is responsible for negotiating and maintaining the teaching contract that determines the wages, benefits, hours, and professional working conditions for the teachers they represent.

The LTA maintains a positive, collaborative working partnership with the Lincolnwood District 74 administration and Board of Education. The administrations hosts monthly meetings at which members of the Board of Education, the Superintendent, the business manager, and the president(s) of the LTA meet to discuss issues of mutual concern.
